Non-evaluative system and the ability to appreciate
Non-evaluative system and the ability to appreciate, and share the worries, experiences and children’s work. Grades are not announced in front of the whole class and are not assigned immediately. There are criterion for evaluating works, and children are informed about them. Tasks are performed due to interest in the subject and interest in the results of work. So, in our school we successfully got rid of an “excellent student” syndrome. Our team always shares the child’s experiences and helps to cope with difficulties. We are happy to support ideas and initiatives.
The absence of comparison of children
The absence of comparison of children: each child learns the material at his own pace, one is visual, the other is auditory, one has an aptitude for languages, the other for mathematics. It’s normal that some children are hyperactive, others are more calm , our task is to find an approach to everyone. We can show children that there is a difference, for example, in their taste preferences, but there is a non-evaluative system when children are not judged by better handwriting, or behavior, or academic success.
